Liverpool benefits from one of the largest dockland areas in the UK, a direct result of the boom in shipping/trade from the 19th century. Due to its proximity to The Mersey, Liverpool Docklands is an extremely popular location for people to live, work and play.

During the resurgent redevelopment in the 1980’s the likes of Royal Albert Dock, Wapping and Waterloo were all restored to their former glory. Average selling prices in Liverpool Docklands tend to be slightly higher than the city centre around the £200,000 mark.

The M & S Bank Arena opened to the south of the Royal Albert Dock to coincide with the European Capital of Culture in 2008 and has brought some of the biggest stars of music to the city. In conjunction with The Exhibition Centre Liverpool next door the city has also welcomed top awards, world leading conferences and even The Eurovision Song Contest in 2023.

Spend a few hours wandering around Royal Albert Dock with its waterside shops, bars and restaurants.
A visit to The Tate and The Beatles Story whilst there is essential.
Take a stroll along the seafront all the way from Princes Dock in the North to Otterspool in the south.
Visit the Museum of Liverpool which opened to great acclaim in 2011 to learn about the history of this great city.
Take a ride on the famous Mersey Ferry over to the Wirral and back (or a river cruise) to enjoy the best views of the famous Liverpool skyline.
Look and marvel at The Three Graces, a collection of three wonderful buildings in a prime location overlooking The Mersey. Whilst there take a photo with the Famous Four at the Beatles Statue!

Royal Albert Dock is a great place to start, home to numerous cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets including the likes of Gusto and Maray together with spanish restaurant Lunyalita and Mexican restaurant Madre
Just past The Three Graces to the north you will find Princes Dock and in the far corner in Alexandra Tower is Cargo Seafood Restaurant, a popular place with locals and visitors.
Further down the docks in a southerly direction is Delifonseca Docklands a Liverpool institution which also houses a fantastic deli.

Royal Albert Dock is again the place to go with a wonderful collection of bars such as PanAm, Revolucion de Cuba and Long Shot Bar.
For a coffee Moose in Princes Dock is a popular place for the office workers across the dock.
If watching boats is your thing pop down to The Anchor at Liverpool Marina.

Liverpool’s Docklands is probably the most popular area of the city to live as most of the developments benefit from being next to the waterside, offer great views and car parking.
Converted from old dock buildings the likes of The Colonnades, Wapping and Waterloo Warehouse offer some of the most attractive and popular apartments in the city.
The more modern Mann Island and Alexandra Tower offer some of the best views across the river and back towards the city, both are popular with owner-occupiers and tenants.
New developments are springing up in the north docklands at Liverpool Waters where another 2,500 homes will be built in the coming years.
