Liverpool’s Business District does not rival the likes of Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham but does offer its own unique style close to the centre of the city centre and docklands. Centered around Old Hall Street, Water Street and Exchange Flags the area hosts many of Liverpool’s largest employers but is also home of some of most popular residential developments. Residents of the business district benefit from the likes of Castle Street on their doorstep but are able to retreat to the relative calm free environment and enjoy some of the best accommodation in the city.

One of Liverpool’s most well known and loved restaurants is Panoramic 34 located on the 34th floor of West tower and offering stunning views day or night with great food and service.
Trattoria 51 is a popular and well liked family Italian located in the heart of the business district on Old Hall Street.
A fabulous newcomer for the foodies amongst us is the stunning Nord in St Paul’s Square a real treat for a special occasion.
Exchange Flags offers to of Liverpool’s better eateries in El Gato Negro and Fazenda and in the summer are packed with customers enjoying the sunshine and a view over the square.
If all you fancy is a sandwich and a drink one of regular hangouts is Bean in Exchange Station. Grab some food and take a seat in the lovely covered atrium. Great for casual business meetings.

Several Liverpool institutions and well known “ale houses” are the Cross Keys, the Denbigh Castle and the Pig and Whistle, all worth a visit for a warm and friendly Liverpool welcome!
Rigby’s and the Lady of Mann are equally as popular with locals and visitors with the courtyard to the rear of Rigby’s busy on summer evenings!
City Wine Bar and Kitchen is a popular pub/wine bar just off Old Hall Street which is well frequented by workers, locals and tourists

Despite being known as the home of Liverpool’s main employers The Business District is also home to some of the most popular and best residential developments in the city.
West Tower is Liverpool’s tallest residential tower at 40 storeys tall whilst The Albany is one of the city’s most well known and loved buildings and one of our favourites here at City Residential.
